Government Decision no.1218 of 6 September 2006 establishing the minimum health and safety requirements to protect the workers against risks related to chemical agents at work (“Hotărâre privind stabilirea cerinţelor minime de securitate şi sănătate în muncă pentru asigurarea protecţiei lucrătorilor împotriva riscurilor legate de prezenţa agenţilor chimici”). Indicates the national and European legislation applicable to the matter. The national mandatory limits of professional exposure to chemical agents are presented in detail in annex no.1; they may not exceed the European mandatory limits of professional exposure to chemical agents. Further on it regulates the obligations of the employers as regards the establishing and assessment of the risk involved by dangerous chemical agents, the risks associated there, the specific protection and prevention steps, the steps applicable in case of accidents, incidents or emergencies, the information and training of workers and other aspects. Contains detailed provisions concerning the interdictions related to the manufacture and use of chemical agents specified by annex no.3 and to the permanent supervisions of workers state of health. Transposes into national legislation Council Directive 98/24/EC on the protection of the health and safety of workers from the risks related to chemical agents at work, published in the Official Journal of the European Communities no.L131 of 5 May 1998, as amended.
