Al-Zarqawi’s Death A Victory in War on Terror | |
| WASHINGTON, D.C. ...Rep. Ralph Hall (R-TX/4th) said today that “the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is a victory for the people of Iraq and for all those who stand against terrorists around the world.”
“Al-Zarqawi was second only to bin-Laden in al-Qaeda’s organization of terrorism, and the world is safer today because he can no longer carry out his brutal attacks. This should put us a step closer to bringing bin-Laden to a justice that he has eluded for far too long. “I am grateful to the brave men and women in our military and all those who helped find and eliminate this dangerous terrorist. This sends a powerful message to all that justice and right will prevail and that those who kill others will themselves be destroyed. “This is a victory in the War on Terror – and it should give hope to our men and women in uniform who are fighting on the frontlines of the war as well as the people of Iraq as they move forward with establishing their new government and the day when they will govern themselves.” | |
