MPV Chemical Hazard-Based Prioritization Documents
ChAMP Resources
These documents prioritize moderate production volume (MPV) chemicals. Hazard-based prioritization documents (HBPs) are prepared from EPA's examination of existing or estimated physical-chemical property, environmental fate and toxicity data readily available to EPA on the MPV chemical(s) and on "supporting" HPV chemicals which together comprise a "cluster" of related chemicals. Read more about how EPA evaluates the hazards posed by MPV chemicals and prepares hazard-based prioritization documents.
EPA is currently refining its process for developing HBPs. Accordingly, the format, structure, and content of the HBP documents are expected to change over time as the process matures.
