Data File

This section contains the TIGER/CTSI file layouts.  The first layout shows
the fields, length, type, and contents for the street name/address file.
The second layout shows the fields, length, type, and contents for the
county index file.  The third layout shows the fields, length, type, and
contents for the names index file.

MACODE        4     C    Metropolitan Area code

ZIPCODE       5     C    ZIP Code

LOADDR       10     C    Low address of address range

HIADDR       10     C    High address of address range

ODDEVEN       1     C    Address parity indicator (B=Both for odd and even
                         address ranges from both sides of the street. 
                         Used for the collapsed address
                         ranges; E=Even for even numbered addresses on the
                         same side of the street; O=Odd for odd numbered
                         addresses on the same side of the street.

NUMERIC       1     C    Indicates non-numeric type addresses in low/high
                         address fields.  Segments with non-numeric
                         addresses will not be collapsed
                         (1 = numeric addresses, 
                         2 = non- numeric addresses).

FILLER       30     C    Non-Blank Filler

STREET       40     C    Street Name

AREANAME     20     C    Contains the place name only, or is blank if
                         located outside a place.
                         For the following 12 MCD states, this field shows
                         the MCD name if record is located outside a place:  
                         Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, 
                         Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York,
                         Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and 
                         Wisconsin.  If areaname exceeds 20 characters, 
                         entry will be truncated.  (See Names Index 
                         File or County Index File for complete names.)
