Dear Sir/Madam,

I wanted to write to thank everyone for your outstanding work towards the Malawi-US Exchange Alumni Association (MUSEAA).  I also wish to inform all members that Friday, 6 October, 2006 marked the 1st anniversary for MUSEAA, congratulations.

MUSEAA will continue to provide a forum for networking among all exchange alumni, while contributing to matters of national development using lessons learned from United States exchange programs.  The Association is committed to promoting networking among U.S exchange alumni within different professions, contributing to Malawi’s social and economic development and to building life-long relationships among members.

I have attached the list of many accomplishments that  MUSEAA has achieved in such a short period of time.  In addition, the association is now officially registered and has a Current Account with the National Bank of Malawi.

I also wish to announce that as of December 1, 2006, I will be out of the country on study leave to Scotland.  With that said, I wish you and all MUSEAA members all the best with the upcoming projects and events.  At the last executive meeting held in August members agreed that in the interim period Mr. Ulemu Malindi, Cultural Affairs Specialist at the Public Affairs Section, U.S. Embassy should exercise the duties of the National Coordinator up until the National Coordinator is elected at the next Alumni Conference, possibly in April 2006.

Sincerely yours,
Flossie Gomile
National Coordinator
