Law no.554 of 02/12/2004 on the administrative contentious ("Legea contenciosului administrative"). It stipulates, among several other things, that any person which considers that one of his rights or his legitimate interest has been trampled with by a public authority by way of an administrative act or by not solving one of his applications within the term stipulated by the law, may bring his problem before the administrative contentious court requesting the annulment of the act, the recognizing of his right or of his legitimate interest along with the damages caused by the authority in question. The People's Advocate as well as the public prosecutor's office may take such matters to the administrative contentious court on behalf of the injured persons. It prescribes in detail the procedure to be followed by interested individuals when bringing their problems before the said courts as well as the enforcement procedure. Repeals Law no.29/1990 on the administrative contentious, published in "Monitorul Oficial" no.122 of 8/11/1990 along with all its subsequent modifications as well as any other legal provisions to the contrary.
