Colorado Invasive Plant Program

Fountain Creek Watershed Project Area

The Fountain Creek Watershed encompasses portions of El Paso, Teller, and Pueblo Counties. The largest portion of the watershed is in the western central portion of El Paso County and encompasses the entire city of Colorado Springs. The species of concern to be addressed are diffuse knapweed, yellow toadflax, and salt cedar. Landowners, or groups of landowners, with property in this project area can apply for up to 50 percent cost-share assistance to suppress and control the spread of these targeted noxious weeds.   • Review the Eligible EQIP Conservation Practices and Cost Rates for the Invasive Plant Species Program.
  • Review the Ranking Criteria and Screen Tool (below).
  • Complete and print the USDA Fillable Conservation Program Application Form CCC1200 (below).
  • Visit or call the USDA Service Center in your area to contact an NRCS staff person to assist you through the application process.
