1997 CMS MEETING, APRIL  11, 12
UC SAN DIEGO

GENERAL INFORMATION

The next US CMS Meeting will take place at the Physics Department (Mayer
Hall), University of California, San Diego April 11-12, 1997.

A management board meeting will take place on the 11th in Mayer Hall. The
plenary US CMS meeting will take place in Center Hall, Room 212 on the
12th.

A.  MAPS

Maps of the campus and directions from the airport can be obtained at the
High Energy Physics website: http://hephp1.ucsd.edu/seminars/dir.html.

B.  PARKING

There is no readily available off-campus parking near UCSD. When parking on
campus, visitors must purchase a permit at the Visitors Information booth
on Gilman Drive. Types of permits are:

Weekdays:  Rate is $6 (allows parking in yellow and green spaces only)
Weekends:  Rate is $3 (allows parking in red, yellow and green spaces, plus
at meters)

C. HOTELS

A block of rooms has been reserved for the CMS meeting for the nights of
April 11 and 12. Note the cut-off date for each hotel, after which time the
hotels will release the rooms for general sales. Please mention the CMS
Meeting at UCSD to get the discounted UCSD rate. The hotels require a
deposit of the first night's room and tax, and 24 hours notice of
cancellation.
