regional weather summary for eastern kansas

the sky was mostly clear across eastern kansas this morning...
although there was some patchy fog over the southeast corner of the
state. the fog reduced the visibility below a half mile in some
locations ... before burning off late in the morning. morning lows
were mainly in the mid 30s to lower 40s ... and reports at 11 am were
mainly in the lower to mid 50s. winds were from the south for the
most part ... with speeds in the 5 to 15 mph range.

a quiet weather pattern will be present over the region through the
early part of the week. the result will be mostly clear conditions
for the plains states through the remainder of today and tonight.
gusty south to southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph will be common across
nebraska and kansas this afternoon ... however wind speeds will
diminish by sunset.

temperatures this afternoon will be well above normal for this time
of year ... with highs mainly in the 70s. lows tonight will only fall
into the 40s to lower 50s across most of the region ... although
reports in the 30s are expected across western portions of kansas
and nebraska.
