FRB: Data Download Program - Learn more
Format
Purpose
Set the date range for your data and select the format of the download file.

Required actions
You must specify the details for the output file, or you can leave the default options on the screen.

  • Set the date range
You can define the range of observations by number or by a specific date range.

  • Choose a file type
    • CSV works well with most spreadsheet packages and is easily processed by automated programs.

    • Excel requires that you have Excel 2003 or newer.  Older versions of Excel will be compatible with CSV.

    • XML files are also easily processed by automated systems.  The data are formatted according to the SDMX data standard.

  • Decide whether to include data labels
The output file will always include the name of the series and the data.  You can choose to include a description of the series, information on the units and currency, if applicable, of the series and the unit multiplier for the series, which shows the scale of the observations.  If you choose the XML file type, labels are automatically included.
