Decree 157-94 of 4 November 1994, signed by the President of the Republic on 15 November 1994, contains the Law on Vegetable and Animal Health ("Ley Fito Zoosanitaria"), whose objective it to match fot eh protection and health of vegetables and animals, and the conservation of its products and subproducts, against plagues and sicknesses of economic, quaranteen and human importance. It covers general provisions; vegetable health; animal health; agricultural and animal quaranteen; vegetable and animal health guarantee; coordination; obligations; violations and sanctions; and, finals and transitory provisions. Repeals the Law on Vegetable Health ("Ley de Sanidad Vegetal"), contained in Decree 23 of 31 January 1962, the Law for the Production Merchandise of Food for Animal Use ("Ley para la Elaboracion y Comercializacion de los Alimentos Concentrados para Uso Animal"), contained in Decree 91 of 24 November 1969, the Law on Meat Industrialization ("Ley de la Industrializacion de las Carnes"), contained in Decree Law 40 of 16 May 1973, and the Law on Animal Health ("Ley de Sanidad Animal"), contained in Decree Law 156 of 18 November 1974. Law no.111 of 10/10/1996 regarding the performing of nuclear peaceful activities under conditions of security (“Lege privind desfasurarea in siguranta a activitatilor nucleare”), republished with up-to-date modifications. First published in ''Monitorul Oficial'' no.267 of October 29, 1996. It was republished once more in ''Monitorul Oficial'' no.78 of 18 February 1998 and subsequently amended several times. Government Emergency Ordinance no.58 of 23 June 2005 to amend Law no.301/2004 – the Criminal code and Law no.294/2004 – on the execution of punishments and on the steps imposed by judicial bodies during the criminal trial (“Ordonanta de urgenta pentru modificarea Legii nr.301/2004 - Codul penal si a Legii nr.294/2004 privind executarea pedepselor si a masurilor dispuse de organele judiciare in cursul procesului penal”). Amends art.512 of the Criminal code and art.97 (1) of said Law no.294/2004 specifying that both legal instruments shall enter into force as of 1 September 2006. Also specifies that the Criminal code is going to be republished with up to date modifications. (3 arts.; pp.1-2).

Law no.240 of 07/06/2004 regarding the liability of manufacturers for damages caused by faulty products ("Lege privind raspunderea producatorilor pentru pagubele generate de produsele cu defecte"). Defines a number of specific terms such as manufacturer, product, damage and faulty product and specifies that the right to request material damages does nor exclude the right to request moral damages. Contains detailed provisions concerning the conditions to be met so as to attract the liability of the manufacturer and the right to sue for incurred damages. This Law transposes into national legislation certain directives of the European Economic Communities as specified by art.16. Repeals certain provisions of Government Ordinance no.21/1992 on consumer protection, as republished in "Monitorul Oficial" no.75 of 23 March 1994. (18 arts.; pp.1-3).
