What does this data set describe?

Title:
CRED Wave and Tide Recorder (WTR) at 24.69 m depth, Zealandia Bank, Northern Marianas Islands, Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (RAMP) Cruise HI0703, 2007
Abstract:
Zealandia Bank, Northern Marianas Islands, (16.8974; 145.8534), Depth = 24.69 m. Data from CRED Wave and Tide Recorders (WTR) provide a time series of temperature, wave, and tide data at coral reef ecosystem sites. Data is typically collected using a SBE Model 26 or 26plus from Seabird Electronics Inc. (www.seabird.com). Sensors include: Real-time clock, thermistor, and Digiquartz temperature-compensated pressure sensor. When a WTR is recovered, a new one is typically placed at the same location. Time series data from a given site, obtained by concatenating individual datasets, may be available from Coral Reef Ecosystem Division (CRED), NOAA Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center. Please contact CRED with any questions. For program information see <http://www.pifsc.noaa.gov/cred/oceanography.php>
Supplemental_Information:
This record refers to uploaded data files that have a similar name as this metadata file, however with different file extensions. The file with extension .XML is the metatdata, which you are currently viewing. The file with extension .HEX is the raw data uploaded from the instrument. Seabird Electronics Inc's SeaSoftWaves software can be used to process the HEX file into Wave (.WB) and Tide (.TID) files. File type .R26 is the report file. File type .TXT is the same as .R26 except that the header information and the pre and post deployment data have been removed. Each row corresponds to a data record. This file format is for easy importation into other analysis programs. Further processing will produce additional files. Sensor depth in meters: 24.69
