UK Citizen Indicted for Illegal Entry Near Mooers, N.Y.

Swanton, Vt. - An illegal alien from the United Kingdom was indicted by a Grand Jury in Albany, N.Y. last week for illegally re-entering the United States in violation of law after having been removed following his conviction for an aggravated felony. Prosecution was authorized by New York’s U.S. Attorney’s office in Albany.

Jeremy Gene Whitecross was apprehended October 5 in the village of Mooers, N.Y. by Champlain Border Patrol agents. Whitecross spotted responding Border Patrol agents and fled into a residential area near Mooers Elementary school. Border Patrol canine and CBP Air units responded to the scene as well as the New York State Police. Whitecross was eventually taken into custody without incident.
