SBI Tactical Infrastructure Program
U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP’s) border security mission is vast and complex and requires multiple offices, programs, and partners working together to address all hazards and all threats at our borders. The Secure Border Initiative (SBI) Program Executive Office (PEO) manages the development, deployment, and integration of SBI acquisition programs to include:

SBInet Technology Program
SBInet develops and deploys new integrated technology solutions to provide enhanced detection, tracking, response, and situational awareness capabilities. This mix, combined with existing resources, will assist front-line CBP personnel to more effectively deter, detect, and resolve illegal cross-border activity.

A key part of the SBInet Technology Program is a Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) Common Operating Picture (COP), which will provide Border Patrol agents with real-time situational awareness of their area of responsibility and act as a force multiplier, allowing fewer agents to cover more ground.

SBInet has been designed to be a flexible tool, not a “cookie cutter” approach. What applies in one area of the border will not necessarily be applied to another. The common thread is that all locations and all available tools will be integrated in a more cohesive operational environment.

Current and completed SBInet projects include:

AJO-1 Project
C3I Project
El Paso Phase I Project
El Paso Phase II Project
Northern Border Project
Project 28
Tucson Sector Project
TUS-1 Project
Yuma Sector Project
