Program Description
The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Departments has a 10 member board of directors made up of non-operational citizen and an auxiliary that is made up of non-operational personnel. The board of directors performs the administrative functions of the department and approves plans. The auxiliary serves the department through fundraising events and community development projects. The auxiliary also serves the department by providing re-hab services on scenes of major incidents, food services at fire department trainings and special events, and they also serve to be an advocate for the fire department through other civic organizations. There is a role for everyone in the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department. We have citizen volunteers who manage our information services, provide planning and training services, supervise our Christmas for the less fortunate program, and many other important tasks that are all geared to improve the quality of life in our community.
