FACT SHEET Preliminary Affirmative Antidumping Duty Determination: Individually Quick Frozen Red Raspberries from Chile On December 21, 2001, the Department of Commerce (the Department) announced the preliminary determination for the above-referenced investigation. We investigated three producers/exporters of individually quick frozen (IQF) red raspberries from Chile and found that only one producer/exporter has sold its product below fair value. Background:This investigation was initiated on June 20, 2001, based on a petition filed by the IQF Red Raspberries Fair Trade Committee, representing growers and producers of IQF red raspberries in Oregon and Washington. On July 16, 2001, the International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a preliminary affirmative injury determination regarding this investigation. The Department is also conducting a concurrent countervailing duty investigation. The final determinations for both the antidumping and the countervailing duty investigations of IQF red raspberries from Chile are aligned and are presently scheduled for May 10, 2002. Product Description: The products covered by this investigation are imports of IQF whole or broken red raspberries from Chile, with or without the addition of sugar or syrup, regardless of variety, grade, size or horticulture method (e.g., organic or not), the size of the container in which packed, or the method of packing. The scope of the investigation excludes fresh red raspberries and block frozen red raspberries (i.e., puree, straight pack, juice stock, and juice concentrate). The merchandise subject to this investigation is classifiable under 0811.20.2020 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS). Although the HTSUS subheading is provided for convenience and customs purposes, the written description of the merchandise under investigation is dispositive. Antidumping Duty Margins:
