U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary Visits Iceland

 
 Economic Officer Fiona Evans joins Helgi Leifsson from Reykjavik Energy, D.A.S. Dyck, and Desk Officer Leah Marlowitz on a tour of Hellisheidi power plant
U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe Paul B. Dyck visited Iceland on October 2nd and 3rd.  He met with leading figures in the American business community and discussed current obstacles to U.S. direct investment in Iceland. 

Mr. Dyck also met with Icelandic government officials to discuss bilateral trade and ways to improve the commerce relationship.  He toured Hellisheidi geothermal power plant and the Blue Lagoon resort, where he learned firsthand about Iceland's utlilization of clean energy and the potential for future geothermal development.
