As part of these forfeiture actions, agents of the United States Marshals Service and the Federal Communications Commission seized property alleged to have been used in the broadcasts by Ms. Nieves and Reverend Acosta, pursuant to warrants of arrest in rem issued by a United States Magistrate Judge.
The cases are being investigated by officials of the Federal Communications Commission. These forfeiture actions will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Patricia A. Willing of the Civil Division.
