Abstract |
An all-day workshop exploring the merits of the Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) for use by the real-time science community was conducted in conjunction with this RT07 conference. It's goal was to provide information to assist in design decisions with respect to utilizing ATCA hardware and associated software to achieve high availability in large projects like the ILC. Both expert-hosted tutorials and user-offered examples were presented. Further, a panel discussion addressed ATCA suitability, and alternatives. This presentation is a synopsis of the areas discussed and issues expressed during that workshop. |
