Day One

Jim Harris (Shades of Blue writer) with wife.

Joe Linsner (Dawn creator). Current series is Dawn: Three Tiers available from Image Comics. Also cover artist on Mystique published by Marvel Comics.

Carla Speed McNeil (Finder creator). Also, artist on story arc of Queen & Country available from Oni Press. Note: Biggest "find" of the convention - Finder #2 - the hen's tooth of the series!

Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night writer and artist, respectively). New series Criminal Macabre and Dark Days. Note: Repeat after me - Ben is Australian not British!

Paul Sizer (Little White Mouse creator). Note: I had several of these comics, and didn't realize it. Read and enjoyed the first three issues. Still need Series 2 #3. Anyone?

Jane Irwin (Vogelein creator). Note: Best discovery of the convention. First five issues have been collected into a trade paperback.

Jason Alexander (Empty Zone creator). Also, artist on story arc of Queen & Country available from Oni Press.

Art Baltazar (Patrick the Wolf Boy creator) and Franco Aurelianai (Weirdsville creator).

Phil Hester, creator of The Wretch. Current artist on Green Arrow published by DC Comics. Note: Phil was producing sketches at the rate of one a minute! Still need The Coffin #1. Anyone?

Day Two

Joe Linsner (Dawn creator) with girlfriend Cyndee in costume. Note: Most patient of the convention. I stalked Joe for three days getting my collection signed!

Vince Billet and Andrew Hamlin. Fellow Spider-Man fans. I met them for the first time at this convention although I had traded and sold comics with them for several years.

Scott Chandler just completed the art on the graphic novel Days Like This.

Ande Parks (Green Arrow inker). Note: I brought Uncle Slam on Day Three, but Ande and Phil had already left when I made it to Artist's Alley.

Day Three

Mark Smiley (Artesia creator). Note: Still need Artesia Annual #1. Anyone?

Scott Lewis (Poison Elves artist). Note: Scott is assisting with the art chores (including the cover on #74 above) while Drew Hayes recuperates.

Craig Thompson just completed an epic graphic novel titled Blankets published by Top Shelf Comix. Note: The talk of the convention.

Jeffrey Brown just completed an epic graphic novel titled Unlikely published by Top Shelf Comix.

Rich Koslowski just completed a new graphic novel Three Fingers available from Top Shelf Comix. Chris Staros is the publisher at Top Shelf, and all around nice guy! Note: Harvey Award-Nominated for "Best Graphic Album of Original Work" in 2003.
