The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) acting for the Coordinating Center for Environment Health and Injury Prevention (CCEHIP) intends to award a firm fixed-price contract. 

Originally, the Government issued a sole source notice posted on FEDBIZOPS May 22, 2008 through June 24, 2008 for the same services and received no capability statements from alternative sources. Subsequently, in an effort to ensure CDC completed the most extensive market research, CDC posted a Sources Sought notice from July 24, 2008 through July 31, 2008. Hektoen submitted the only response.  The Contracting Officer confirmed that in fact Hektoen was believed to be the only source capable of satisfying the Government's requirement described in the within the statement of work for the attached solicitation.  Additional research has revealed there are potential other businesses that may completed this requirement.

Offerors must submit their proposal in accordance with the attached solicitation.  All proposal must be submitted to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 5 , 2008.  No further extensions shall be granted.  Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria set forth in the attached solicitation.  All proposals shall be submitted via email to MEAllen@cdc.gov with the reference RCT for IPV Screening CDC-2008-52592-2 referenced in the subject line.

The total contract value is $1,369,468. The total period of performance is 36 months.
