If you want good advice, go to a consultant ... ASLC is not for you. If you want "hell, fire, and brimstone," or strict and rigid rules with lists of "shoulds" and "should nots" from an angry God ... ASLC is not for you. If you think the world's ills can be cured if only everybody simply had a better attitude and tried a little harder ... then ASLC is not for you. If you are simply looking for a church where you can be entertained or offers only trite little platitudes ... then ASLC is not for you. But if you want to hear how the God-story of creation-fall-redemption intertwines with your personal life and story ... If you want to hear how God sent his Son "not to condemn the world but to save it" (John 3:17) ... If you believe that it takes nothing less than an act of God to cure the world of its ills ... If you want to hear of a God who steps down into the muck and pain of your life - and meets you there with love and grace, and freely gives you love and hope and forgiveness and a new and joyous life ...
