Prior to 2003, the Grand Forks Sector Intelligence Unit consisted of one Intelligence Agent located at Sector Headquarters. In 2003, the Sector Intelligence Unit (SIU) grew to four Lead Border Patrol Agents (Intelligence), one Intelligence Research Specialist and one Management Analyst. In 2006, the SIU grew to 15 Lead Border Patrol Agents (Intelligence), 1 Intelligence Research Specialist and 1 Management Analyst. These assets are spread though-out all of the Border Patrol Stations within the sector and include full-time agents assigned to three Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET) offices within sector.
