Funeral Monday for Slain Border Patrol Agent

(Thursday, January 24, 2008)

El Paso, Texas - A private funeral mass and interment for Border Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar will be held in El Paso on Monday.

Senior Border Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar
The family of Agent Aguilar has requested that attendance at the funeral mass and subsequent interment be limited to immediate family members, friends and law enforcement personnel, and will not be open to the general public or members of the press.

At the conclusion of the funeral mass, the procession will travel from St. Raphael’s Catholic Church at 2301 Zanzibar Drive to Mt. Carmel Cemetery, at 401 South Zaragosa, where the interment will be conducted.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
