The following is posted on behalf of Talia Kowitt. Most of the resources
are free. Looks like some interesting sites Please take a look.

http://www.ipl.org/ IPL is The Internet Public Library. A consortium
<http://www.ipl.org/div/about/IPLconsortium/consortiumList.html> of
colleges and universities with programs in information science is
developing and maintaining the IPL
http://www.ipl.org/div/about/sp.html. The Information Science Department
at the University of Maryland at College Park contributes to the
Internet Public Library, too (my own university). The International
Children's Digital Library http://www.childrenslibrary.org
<http://www.childrenslibrary.org/> is part of the same department and
shares books online for kids 3-13 in over 50 languages.

IPL highlights:

Wonderful kids section! http://www.ipl.org/div/kidspace/

Great reading section http://www.ipl.org/div/reading/

Many links to adult literacy and education sites
http://www.ipl.org/div/subject/browse/edu55.00.00/

IPL has amazing literacy resources for people of all ages and for those
interested in all different kinds of subjects.

Sincerely,

Talia Kowitt.
