Photographic services are available from Visual Media Services on an appointment basis by calling or requesting in person your photographic needs.
All requests are entered into a data base and assigned a job number.
Each assignment is discussed by office staff for best approach and optimum results.
Input from you on approach and desired results is always welcome and accepted.
Both studio and location shooting are available.
Because of the ease of control of our studio environment we encourage customers to have as much photography work done in the studio as possible.
Our staff can provide any format of photo service from 35mm to 8x10 inch. For best results please allow sufficient lead time to complete the job.

Common Types of Photography Services Provided
Table Top, Large Format Photography, Group Shots, Equipment Documentation , Aerial Photography, Macro Photography, Passport/ Visa and Portraiture.
Color Service
VMS can provide custom color prints sizes from 3x5 inches to 8x10 feet. Finish will be matte or upon request glossy. Also, automated prints up to 8x10 inches, reproduction transparencies, 8x10 inches view graph transparencies (overhead projector films), slide duplication and color murals.
Black & White Service
All black & white processing and printing is custom. Prints are printed onto glossy RC coated paper unless other is specified. Tray processed fiber base paper printing is available. Sizes range from 2x2 inches to full mural size.
Other Photo Services
Copy negatives can be made of photographs, slides or flat art. Photographs can be mounted on a variety of mount surfaces. Work related film processing can be done through VMS on a limited basis. All photography shot by VMS photographers is entered into the Laboratory inventory system. Access to entire negative inventory is available through the VMS office. A Photo Database is also available on the VMS web server. Proof sheets of recent years are kept on hand in the reception area of VMS. Proof sheets of entire collection is available in Fermilab Library.
Digital Imaging
Negatives can be scanned and saved in desired resolution and file type. Cropping and or titling can be added and then printed on photo quality paper and transparency material. Scanned images can be provided in file form. Photo quality scanned images can be printed in house up to 8/5" X 11". Larger sizes can be furnished through contracted out of house services.
