Columbus and Dresden Youth Connect on Stage

February 19, 2009. Consulate General staffer Beate Renker traveled to Dresden to meet with three American youths from Columbus, Ohio, and their German counterparts who will be rendering the first English-speaking performance of "The Heights," a contemporary play for young actors. The project is a joint cultural production between the Theater Junge Generation in Dresden and the Davis Performing Arts Program for Youth from Dresden's American sister city Columbus (Ohio). In addition, high school classes and youth groups from the region will have the opportunity to work with the American director. The premiere will be on February 25, 2009.
