Summary
This data type was designed for analyzed wave data originating from the National Ocean Service (NOS) Coastal Wave Program. The data are organized into 3 record types: record type A describes basic environmental information needed to understand the data; record type B is used to report wave energy spectral values; record type C is used to report waverider ... data. All records are fixed-length (128 characters) ASCII text characters. Sorting by station and sequence number will obtain proper sequence of records. The first nine columns for all records are to be used for file type (columns 1-3) and file identifier (columns 4-9). The file identifier, to be assigned by the originator, is a unique originator id for each data submission. After submission, the NODC reassigns to this field a unique NODC identifier for internal use. NOAAServer Codes: [OL 38.20 38.20 -74.90 -74.90] ; nodateline obtain
