Resolution 80-00 approves the Loan Agreement for Technical Cooperation 1093/OC-DR between the Dominican Republic and the Inter-American Development Bank for US$10 300 000.00 for implementing the Integrated Financial Administration Program.
The technical cooperation funds a structure to make the financial management of the Dominican Republic’s public sector more transparent by a) checking that the policies of investment and expenses are consistent with the national development goals, b) increasing efficiency in management of monies, and c) improving transparency in government and in the administration of public funds and internal control.
Goals are to be achieved through consulting, training, and equipment and will help formulate, execute and oversee the national budget. The country will benefit from a better access to international financial markets
