Content Description
Abstract: Documented river and riparian buffer restoration projects in Lamoille County, Vermont. Restoration includes buffer plantings (trees and shrubs), bank stabilization (rock, tree revetments, willow), fencing, bank shaping, and instream habitat features. The work is funded and performed in cooperation with the local agricultural community, and local, state, and federal government agencies.
Purpose: To create an inventory of all river restoration projects in Lamoille County, Vermont for monitoring and educational purposes.
Supplemental Information: Data to be used in conjunction with the Vermont water hydrology data 1:5000 for a complete area rivers network (filename WaterHydro_VHD available at www.vcgi.org data clearinghouse).
