CBP Border Patrol Agents Arrest 153 Illegal Aliens at Drop House Aliens Were Found Packed into Two Vehicles and a Singlewide Trailer

contacts for this news releaseYuma, Arizona – This morning, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol Agents of the Yuma Sector disrupted a major human smuggling operation when they located two vehicles containing illegal aliens parked in front of a trailer packed full of more than 100 illegal aliens.At approximately 9:30 a.m., Border Patrol Agents observed two suspicious vehicles stop at a trailer park in the 3000 block of 1st Street. The first vehicle, a Mazda MPV, had 9 illegal aliens inside. The second vehicle, a Toyota pickup truck, contained 10 illegal aliens and was reported stolen from Yuma. The Toyota truck and the driver were turned over to the Yuma Police Department. Agents investigated a nearby trailer and found 134 illegal aliens crowded inside. Many of the aliens were women and children who stated that they had been in the trailer for five days. All of the windows were closed and the temperatures inside the trailer were sweltering. None of the aliens were injured or required medical treatment. Agents are actively investigating to identify smugglers in the group. Since October 1, 2005, CBP Border Patrol Agents in the Yuma Sector have apprehended 56,922 illegal aliens.
