Hi, my name is Fawn. I am a black Lab and I weigh 50 pounds. I was born on Nov. 11, 2005. I am an Explosive Detection K-9 at the Central Intelligence Agency.

Before I came to the CIA, I was training to become a guide dog for the blind. I was happy there, but I really wanted to learn how to sniff out explosives. It sounded exciting and challenging. I spent six weeks training at the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). It was during this time that I learned the different odors of explosives.

When I completed my training, I met my new partner, K-9 Officer Nick. We worked together in a 10-week training program. Officer Nick and I worked really well together.

It was a real treat when Officer Nick took me home to meet his family. I love going to work every day, but, I also love going back home playing ball with the kids or running around at the park.

I am so happy working with Officer Nick at the CIA.
