SAP Release 3

Do you use AIMS, RMS, or BE?

If you use AIMS, RMS, or BE, SAP will impact you. Effective in October 2004, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is pulling the plug on AIMS, RMS, and BE and replacing them with SAP. Release 3 will implement SAP Financial Accounting, Funds Management, Budgeting, and SAP's Business Information Warehouse (BW) to replace the legacy CBP Federal Financial System, Asset Information Management System, Reports Management System, and Budget Execution.

What type of training will I receive?

The SAP training team has selected a combination of Web-Based Training (WBT) and the traditional Instructor-Led Training (ILT) to instruct users on SAP. Web-based training will be available starting August 1 with the revised SAP Overview and Basic Navigation course. All users should complete these courses before attending any ILT or taking any other WBT courses.

There are several WBT training resources that users should familiarize themselves with. Most of these tools are found on the SAP Project Web site located at http://SAP or http://sap.cbp.dhs.gov. A link to the Web site can also be found under Quicklinks on the CBPnet homepage.

Where can I access general help?

You can access the SAP Help Desk by dialing 703.921.6000. When the recording starts, press option 2, and then select option 6.
