Florida CBP Explorers Hit the Mark

(09/19/2007)
Congratulations are once again in order for Customs and Border Protection Explorer Post # 99. The Explorers attended the 2007 September Delegates training and pistol competition, which was hosted by the Florida Association of Police Explorers (F.A.P.E.), in Daytona, FL.

F.A.P.E. holds this event every 3 months, in which multiple Explorer Posts from Florida gather for a weekend to train in different aspects of law enforcement scenarios and to participate in a pistol competition. I am proud to announce that our Explorer Post performed very well and brought home several trophies.

Florida Sharpshooters
In addition to winning the 5th place trophy for the Team Competition, Explorer Post #99 also walked away with a number of individual trophies including: second place Tyro; first place Marksman; sixth place Marksman; second place Sharpshooter; and second place Expert.

Our CBP Explorer Post did a great job in both shooting and training!

Special Thanks to Associate Advisors, Officer Marlon Espinoza, CBP Technician Lucia Errigo and Range Master Debis Morales for all your cooperation, involvement with the program, and assistance with the September Delegates. I also want to thank Chief O’Connor, Chief Jackson, and Chief Mullin for all of your continued involvement and support with CBP Explorer Post # 99.
