Details:
To simplify data access controls, CoastWatch ocean color products are now available from two separate Okeanos ftp servers, one with restricted access (ftp://okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/) and one without restricted access (ftp://ftpoceanwatch.noaa.gov/pub/).

Products with unrestricted access (derived from MODIS/Aqua) are available from a single consolidated directory at: ftp://ftpoceanwatch.noaa.gov/pub/data_products/modis.

If you prefer to access the MODIS products by level and file type, go to ftp://ftpoceanwatch.noaa.gov/pub/modis/. There you will find subdirectories by level (L1, L2, L3 and L4). In all these subdirectories there is an /hdf subdirectory for CoastWatch HDF format files; for L3 and L4 there are also subdirectories for image files (/browse, /thumb, and /tiff).

Products with restricted access (derived from SeaWiFS/OV-2 or MERIS/Envisat) are available from a single consolidated directory at:

ftp://okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/data_products/seawifs/ or ftp://okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/data_products/meris/.

(You must be an authorized SeaWiFS or MERIS user to access these areas.)

If you prefer to access the SeaWiFS or MERIS products by level and file type, go to:

ftp://okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/seawifs/ or ftp://okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/meris/, where you will find the same subdirectory structure described above.
