(05/23/2007)Reporting Instructions Pleasure boats arriving in the New York/Newark Area will make an initial report of arrival to CBP by contacting the Newark Area Marine Desk at 1-877-209-8526. For purposes of reporting pleasure boat arrivals, the New York/Newark Area is defined as the geographic area north of Manasquan, NJ and south of the Poughkeepsie Bridge on the Hudson River. The area includes the north and south shores of Long Island.What information do I have to have when I call?Vessel masters must have the following information available:- name, date of birth and citizenship of all persons on board (including passport number);
- Name of the boat and/or boat registration number;
- CBP user fee decal number (if 30 feet or longer);
- Homeport and current location; and
- Return contact number.
What Alternative Inspection Programs Does This Port Accept?- Canadian Border Boat Landing Permit Program (I-68)
- NEXUS Program
Participants in these programs must report their arrival to CBP by calling 1-877-209-8526.
