Related Data Elements: none
Specific to this Data Element:
Descriptive history:
The 125 file type contains data from the fasting plasma glucose test (FPG). The coding of Card
1 deals with factors
known to influence the results of the FPG. These factors include the BLSA participant's family
history of diabetes
mellitus, medications and diseases known to affect the test, and technical factors that influence
the results of the
test.
Data collection methodology:
Blood chemistry.
Related protocols:
Other blood chemistries.
Investigators:
Dr. Reubin Andres (primary investigator)

Frequency of data collection:
Every visit where no other glucose test is performed.
Inclusion/exclusion rules:
No exclusions.
