Welcome to the California Wildfire Coordinating Group (CWCG)

The California Wildfire Coordinating Group is established to provide an interagency approach to wildland fire management and all-risk support on all land ownerships within the State of California. The purpose of CWCG is to further interagency cooperation, communications, coordination, and to provide interagency fire management direction and all-risk support for the Northern and Southern California Geographical Areas. CWCG is made up of representatives from the:

  • United States Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region (USFS)
  • Bureau of Indian Affairs, Pacific Region (BIA)
  • National Park Service, Pacific West Region (NPS)
  • Bureau of Land Management, California (BLM)
  • Fish and Wildlife Service, California/Nevada Operations (FWS)
  • Governor's Office of Emergency Services, Fire and Rescue (OES)
  • California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE)
  • CAL FIRE Contract County Representative
