The Border Patrol Station at Grand Forks was first established in October of 1939.

The Grand Forks Station (GND) is located in northeastern North Dakota bordering Minnesota. The station operates in sixteen North Dakota counties and eleven Minnesota counties. The Grand Forks Station Area of Responsibility (AOR) lies in the Red River Corridor and is comprised of four egress zones and nine transit zones encompassing approximately 71,153 square miles. In addition to the patrol agents and mission support personnel, the Station also houses and coordinates operations with the area’s ICE Detention and Removal (DRO) staff. The Sector Intelligence unit has also assigned one Lead Intelligence Agent in the Grand Forks Station facility.
