Independence Day dogs

The sixteenth, or "P" litter, of loyal, hard-working detector dogs was born on the Fourth of July at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Canine Training Center in Front Royal, Va. The yellow Labrador Retriever puppies, four female and one male, were born to "Xele" (pronounced X-cel) who was one of the original dogs donated by the Australian Customs Service to start the U.S. Customs Service breeding program. The father, "Yellowstone's TNT Explosion," is a yellow Lab owned by a private breeder in Riverton, Wyo. His call name is "Nitro," and he is a field champion and amateur field champion. He is also the father of the 12th or "L" litter.
