| SANDI WALTERS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER Sandi Walters has served as the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer (CFO/CAO) since October 2008. In this capacity, Ms. Walters manages the financial and administrative management operations of the Economic Development Administration (EDA). Prior to her appointment as CFO/CAO, Ms. Walters served as EDA’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer/Director, Finance and Administration Division, where she managed EDA’s accounting, human resources, Continuity of Operations, acquisition, security, safety, personal property, facilities, records, Purchase Cards, Government issued travel credit cards, and all other administrative operations. Ms. Walters holds an M.B.A. in Human Resources Management from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland.Before joining EDA in 2004, Ms. Walters was the Chief, Business Management Fund Division, at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) from 2001 - 2004; Chief, Accounting Operations Division, at NOAA (1992 – 2001); Systems Accountant at the National Institutes of Health (1988 – 1992); Systems Accountant at the Health Resources and Services Administration (1985 – 1988); and Operating Accountant at the Immigration and Naturalization Service (1983 – 1985).Ms. Walters is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager. |
