The PSG is also a forum for new and emerging concepts for ITDS related to either domestic or international issues. Additionally, the PSG: - Promotes cooperation and consensus on government-wide issues and makes recommendations on these matters to the ITDS BoD as appropriate
- Handles process streamlining and harmonizing tasks as deemed appropriate and necessary or as tasked by the ITDS BoD, to realize the ITDS vision and the integration of PGAs into ACE
Communications Committee The Communications Committee supports the Board of Directors by providing ITDS related content to the various constituents of the ACE program. It is responsible for the creation and content administration of the ITDS Web site, which is the vehicle through which Participating Government Agencies (PGAs), the Trade community, and the general public can retrieve information pertaining to the ITDS program. The committee also develops documents ranging from quarterly newsletters to fact sheets.Budget CommitteeThe Budget Committee primarily aids the ITDS BoD in:- Making informed decisions on budget execution, including the allocation and application of ITDS-specific budgetary resources
- Developing budget plans, proposals, submissions, justifications, testimony, and other supporting documentation, which includes the coordination of multiple department and agency proposals and their associated inputs
Additionally, the committee assists the board with budget strategy; provides detailed, regular financial data; reviews financial documents; and reviews detailed budget and financial reports.Data Harmonization Integrated Product Team The Data Harmonization Integrated Product Team (IPT) captures and evaluates the data requirements the PGAs will need in ACE. Common data requirements are harmonized and included in the ITDS Standard Data Set, a comprehensive list of data elements needed to support the international trade process and U.S. border regulatory and enforcement responsibilities. The ITDS Standard Data Set was baselined in April 2006. The group is currently taking the harmonized data and integrating it into the appropriate ACE releases.Statistical Data Users Group The role of the SDUG is to guide the development of requirements aimed to meet the needs of statistical and policy agencies that receive their statistical data from the U.S. Census Bureau and/or other sources.Legal and Policy Group The Legal and Policy group identifies and addresses legal issues associated with ACE integration such as privacy impact assessments (PIA), system of record notices (SORN), information collection requests, Federal Register notices, data access issues and developing MOUs between CBP and individual agencies. |
