CBP Welcomes 20,000th NEXUS Member to be Enrolled at Port Huron, Mich

Detroit – U.S. Customs and Border Protection is pleased to announce that Brenna Vincent from Seaforth, Ontario has become the 20,000th NEXUS program member to be enrolled at the Port Huron NEXUS Enrollment Center.

Ms. Vincent will receive recognition as being the 20,000th NEXUS member enrolled at the Port Huron NEXUS Enrollment Center. A recognition ceremony, sponsored by Blue Water Bridge Canada, will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m., at the Ontario Travel Information Center, Venetian Blvd, Point Edward, Ontario. Representatives from CBP, Canada Border Services Agency, Blue Water Bridge Canada, Michigan Department of Transportation and the Duty Free Store will be on hand to thank Ms. Vincent for her participation in the NEXUS program.

“The NEXUS Trusted Traveler Program provides the benefit of quick and efficient border crossing to its members,” said Director Field Operation Christopher Perry, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. “NEXUS also gives U.S. Customs and Border Protection a valuable tool to utilize in accomplishing our mission of securing the border while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travelers.”

NEXUS is a popular, joint frequent traveler program with Canada where applicants voluntarily undergo a background check, in-person interview and fingerprinting, and pay a $50 five-year membership fee. Under the new system, individuals may submit an online application and pay the membership fee on the CBP Web site by clicking on the Global Online Enrolment System link." ( GOES )
