Loren Flossman
(11/12/2008)Loren Flossman was named Program Manager for the SBI Tactical Infrastructure Program in October 2007. In this position, Flossman oversees SBI projects that employ physical components – including roads (patrol, drag and access), fence (primary, pedestrian and vehicle fence), and lights – designed to secure borders.Flossman has 26 years of successful program management experience in private industry, including overseas operations and classified technical programs, presiding over fixed price and start-up contracts and supervising up to 2,500 personnel and programs generating $80 million in annual revenue. He has had extensive management experience both in military and commercial sectors.Prior to Flossman’s joining SBI, he worked for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as a Vice President and Senior Program Manager. While at SAIC, Flossman became the company’s Director of Operations in Iraq and was responsible for $200 million in operations which included 4 critical and sensitive programs in support of the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Defense (DoD). Additionally, Flossman was SAIC’s Division Manager and Program Manager for TRICARE Europe and was responsible for developing the program’s European Division.Over the course of 29 years of Active and Reserves in the U.S. Air Force, Flossman attained the rank of Colonel. His service included being activated as Commander of Air Force Aeromedical Evacuation Operations in Somalia, Bosnia, and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During Operations Iraqi Freedom he was assigned Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC) where he was support to the Director of Operations for Air Mobility. Separately, Flossman was activated and deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm (ODS), serving as Chief of Operations for Theater Aeromedical Evacuation (A/E) System. During this time, Flossman was responsible for developing the onsite aeromedical evacuation systems to support evacuation of casualties, managing a staff that included over 2,000 Air Force officers and enlisted personnel located in 5 countries and 46 locations. Flossman also served several years with the Air Force’s Military Health Service System (MHSS), where he worked in such positions as Director of Patient Administration and Medical Logistics, Medical Readiness and Plans, and Clinic Administrator.Prior to joining the military, Flossman held several management positions in the healthcare industry.Flossman holds an MBA in Health Services Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. |
