The bathythermograph (BT) data contains temperature profile data (temperature at standard depth and depth of significant temperature) from the mechanical bathythermograph (MBT), the expendable bathythermograph (XBT), the digital bathythermograph (DBT) and the airborne expendable bathythermograph (AXBT). Data are maintained in separate files.
... Mechanical Bathythermograph (MBT) profiles for 326,500 stations; adjacent seas of Japan from 1955 to 1992.
Expendable Bathythermograph (XBT) profiles for 136,319 stations; adjacent seas of Japan from 1970 to 1995.
Digital Bathythermograph (DBT) profiles for 33,931 stations; adjacent seas of Japan from 1977 to 1992.
Airborne Expendable Bathythermograph (AXBT) profiles for 14,228 stations; adjacent seas of Japan from 1972 - 1992.
Data in these files are available as copies of specified data subsets on magnetic tapes, floppy disks,CD-ROMs or printed form.
These data are also published in CSK, KER-Data Report and Oceanographic Atlas for JRK annually. Bathythermographic data at discrete depth levels and standard depth levels interpolated.
Integrated Global Oceans System (IGOSS) BATHY/TESAC Temperature/depth data are available from the Northwestern Pacific for 1976 to 1981, and globally from 1982. These data observed under the framework of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) IGOSS project and collected by JNODC as Responsible National Oceanographic Data Centre (RNODC). Semi-annual catalogues are submitted to IOC. Geographic Coverage
