El Paso, Texas — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers conducting anti-terrorism operations at the El Paso port of entry apprehend a Kansas City, Mo., woman with 194 pounds of marijuana. The significance of this seizure was that the contraband was concealed through out the vehicle. Marijuana bundles were found in the front bumper, dashboard, and gas tank.
CBP officers in Texas find nearly 200 pounds of marijuana concealed in various compartments of a vehicle including the front bumper.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday a pearl white 1998 Continental sedan arrived to primary inspection at the Ysleta border crossing. The driver and occupants stated they had nothing to declare. The CBP officer became suspicious of the driver and passenger because of their nervous behavior. The vehicle and all occupants were referred to secondary for further examination. An inspection of the vehicle was conducted with CBP drug sniffing dog “Rio.” CBP officers discovered 176 bundles of marijuana concealed in the bumper of the Continental.

“This seizure is another fine example of the hard work and dedication of the officers on the front line” said CBP Acting Port Director in El Paso William Molaski.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents arrested 18-year-old Catarina Flores for importation of a controlled substance.
