COMPETING SERIES:
Deweyville soils--contain more than 20 percent mineral material in the Oe horizons
Soils in similar families: Brighton, Dare, Dorovan, Everglades, Istokpoga, Montverde, Okeechobee, Pungo and Terra Ceia soils. Brighton, Everglades, Istokpoga, Montverde, Okeechobee and Terra Ceia soils have mean annual soil temperature of more than 72 degrees F. at depths of 20 inches below the surface. Brighton and Montverde soils are dominated by fibric material within the control section. Dare, Dorovan, Okeechobee, Pungo and Terra Ceia soils are dominated by sapric material within the control section. Everglades, Montverde, Okeechobee and Terra Ceia soils have soil reaction of pH 4.5 or more.
