Acreage Estimates of Water Areas

North Coast NRCS Basin
Oregon National Resources Inventory Results

See Details Page for further explanations.
See National NRI Glossary for complete definitions.

Small Water

1982 Small Water.
Estimate = 14,300 acres.
Error = 1,900 acres.

1987 Small Water.
Estimate = 14,400 acres.
Error = 1,900 acres.

1992 Small Water.
Estimate = 14,500 acres.
Error = 1,900 acres.

1997 Small Water.
Estimate = 15,100 acres.
Error = 2,000 acres.

Large Water

Standard error estimates for large water are not comparable with other data due to computational differences, and will not be shown.

1982 Large Water Estimate = 102,100 acres.

1987 Large Water Estimate = 102,100 acres.

1992 Large Water Estimate = 102,100 acres.

1997 Large Water Estimate = 102,100 acres.

NOTE: Data may not add to totals because of rounding. The error referred to in the table is the standard error of the estimate. You can obtain the margin of error at the 95% confidence limit by multiplying the error by 1.96.  Standard errors greater than 50% of the estimate indicate a low level of statistical reliability.
