Ribbon Cutting at Indianapolis Hiring Center Officially Opens Federal Operations Complex

What:  Ribbon cutting for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Indianapolis Hiring Center, with more than 35,671 square feet and office space for 130 CBP employees.
Who:  U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner W. Ralph Basham and State Representative Phil Hinkle (R-Indianapolis), along with Assistant Commissioner for Human Resources Management Robert Hosenfeld and invited guests.
When:  Thursday, June 5, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where:  Indianapolis Hiring Center, Intech Three
6510 Telecom Drive, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278
Why:  The Ceremony is an opportunity to see first-hand, the federal Intech complex that features the Hiring Center, Indianapolis Office of Finance and other facets of CBP operations.

Background:
The Indianapolis Hiring Center provided 80 new federal jobs to the Indianapolis area and is located in the Intech complex. The Center will process nearly 200,000 applications per year and will support and provide services to all offices within CBP, the nation’s largest law enforcement agency.

Photo opportunities include a close up look at CBP technology and equipment, with an EC-120 helicopter, Immigration and Customs Enforcement command vehicle, and other displays. Please note media are not allowed access past lobby and reception areas.

National recruiters will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for those interested in applying or finding out more information on a civilian or law enforcement career with CBP.
