The Monterey Bay Crescent Research Consortium is a newly developing organization to promote research in the region. Presentations were given by the Naval Postgraduate School, Naval Research Laboratory, Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center, U.C. Santa Cruz, MBARI, Monterey Bay Aquarium, MBNMS, National Marine Fisheries Service, U.C. MBEST, MATE, U.C. Sea Grant Extension Program, Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, Monterey Institute of International Studies, Cal. State Monterey Bay, California Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Geological Survey. ATOC The ATOC Consortium published a paper in the August 28 issue of Science on "Ocean climate change: comparison of acoustic tomography, satellite altimetry, and modeling." Andrew has reprints for those who are interested in a copy.
